WHAT? WHEN? WHERE?

SandTunes is Australia’s biggest new 2 day music festival held in the Gold Coast, Queensland.

SandTunes is located at Metricon Stadium. The stadium entrance is on Nerang Broadbeach Rd, Carrara.

Event timings will be published shortly however we recommend getting down early to make the most of the day! Check back for up-dated details soon.

Playing times will be released closer to the event date.

A full site map will be available closer to the event date.

TICKETING

Tickets are on sale now via Ticketek (https://premier.ticketek.com.au/shows/show.aspx?sh=SANDTUNE19) with Payment Plan options available via Eventopia (https://www.eventopia.co/event/SandTunes-Music- Festival/393583)

There is a limit of 10 tickets per transaction.

Tickets are available via Ticketek. Payment plan options are available via Eventopia. Ticketek and Eventopia are the only authorised sellers of SandTunes tickets. We strongly recommend you do not purchase your tickets from an unauthorised ticket seller. If you do, there is no guarantee your ticket will be valid and give you access to the event.

Yes – you will require a Ticketek account to finalise your purchase.

Ticketek accepts all major debit/credit cards for bookings made online. Ticketek agencies accept cash and credit cards.

Payment plan options are available via Eventopia. Eventopia is offering 2 payments, whereby 50% payment is required at time of purchase and a subsequent 50% payment required later. Please check out their website for more details.

Yes! SandTunes is a 15+ event. Please note every person aged 15-17 will require to be accompanied by an 18+ person.

If you purchase an 18+ ticket, you will be required to present photo ID to gain entry to the festival regardless of your age. You will need valid Australian Government issued photo ID otherwise you will be denied entry to the festival site. Approved photo IDs are driver’s license, government issues passports or Australian government issued proof of age cards.

We strongly recommend you do not purchase your tickets from an unauthorised ticket seller. If you do, there is no guarantee your ticket will give you access to the event. The only authorised ticket sellers for SandTunes are Ticketek and Eventopia.

If you purchased your tickets prior to Tue 3 September, you are entitled to a full refund. Tickets purchased from Tue 3 September onwards are non-refundable. See Ticket T&C’s for more information.

The only place to securely resell your ticket is via Ticketek Marketplace. Ticketek Marketplace gives fans easy access to sell their tickets safely and securely if they can no longer attend the event. All tickets on Ticketek Marketplace are capped at a maximum price of 10% above face value. Every ticket exchanged is reissued into the name of the new owner and guarantees fans entry to their event. We strongly recommend you do not purchase your tickets from an unauthorised ticket seller. If you do, there is no guarantee your ticket will give you access to the event.

Selling tickets through any third party website is against SandTunes ticketing T&C’s. If you need to sell your ticket please go via Ticketek Marketplace – where all tickets are sold safely and securely. Tickets found on third party websites may be cancelled and posts removed.

Lost or broken wristbands will not be replaced so please take extra care. Please don’t remove, stretch or tamper with your wristband as you will be denied entry.

Tickets will be sent from October 31 st , if you do not receive yours please log into your Ticketek or Eventopia account to check on the status of your tickets. If that doesn’t help, please then contact your ticket seller Ticketek on 13 28 49 or Eventopia at help@eventopia.co

Yes – please log in to your Ticketek or Eventopia account and update your account details.

Ticketek and Eventopia are the only authorised sellers of SandTunes tickets. If you have chosen to buy a ticket from an unauthorised seller we cannot guarantee it is a valid ticket and you will be able to enter. SandTunes is not responsible for any fraudulent tickets.

Even if you are over 70, you will be required to present ID to gain entry to the festival if you have purchased an 18+ ticket. You will need valid Australian Government issued photo ID otherwise you will be denied entry to the festival site. Approved photo IDs are driver’s license, government issues passports or Australian government issued proof of age cards.

No – photos or photocopies are not acceptable forms of photo ID. Valid Australian government issued photo ID is required in order to gain entry to the festival site. Approved photo IDs are driver’s license, government issues passports or Australian government issued proof of age cards.

A proof of age card is a government issued photo ID card stating a person’s date of birth.

A Pit Zone ticket gives you access to a dedicated standing area on the field as well as seating on the stands. There are also express lanes at bar & food outlets for Pit Zone ticket holders.

Of course! If you have a Pit Zone ticket you can go anywhere on the field or in the stands. But ONLY Pit Zone ticketholders can access the dedicated pit zone standing and seating areas.

All tickets are General Admission meaning you can move freely between the standing areas and seating areas as you desire. You are not allocated a seat or a place to stand.

No - you will require another 18+ with you also. For every 15-17 yr old an 18+ person is required to accompany them.

Yes - a limited amount of disabled parking will be available.

We do accept companion cards where a person is unable to attend without a companion to provide care support. Only the person whose photograph and name appear on the valid card can use the companion card. Companion card bookings will need to be made with Ticketek over the phone and the companion card number provided at time of booking. The number is 1300 665 915

Accessible toilets are located around the venue.

STAFF AND VOLUNTEERS

Unfortunately not, we do not use volunteers for these roles.

We do not require any more volunteers for the 2019 event.

Thanks for offering to help us out, however the only authorised ticket seller for this event is Ticketek and Eventopia.

ACCOMMODATION

Camping is not available at the festival site

We recommend booking your accommodation on the Gold Coast as soon as possible as hotels will sell out! Please see our ‘Location’ page for more information!

TRANSPORT INFORMATION

The best way to get to/from the festival is using public transport as this is free with your event ticket! Anyone with a ticket to Sandtunes Music Festival 2019 can access free public transport from 4 hours prior to the event until four hours post event. Free public transport includes Surfside Bus Services, G:Link Light Rail, and Queensland Rail Train Services. There will be free event shuttles operating from 30 minutes prior to gates open until 1 hour post event from Broadbeach-South Light Rail Station, Nerang Station and Boowaggan Road Park ‘n’ Ride. The best route to get to Metricon Stadium from Coolangatta would be to take the Route 700 bus from Marine Parade in Coolangatta directly to Broadbeach South Light Rail Station. From Broadbeach South, jump on the free event shuttle to Metricon Stadium. Show your ticket to the bus driver or public transport attendants and your trip is free. We recommend using one of the Park and Ride options at Broadbeach-South Light Rail Station, Nerang Station and Boowaggan Road Park ‘n’ Ride – there are free event shuttles from these locations to the festival.

Yes there will be a taxi rank at SandTunes. Check the festival site map for exact location. The map will be available closer to the event.

There is very limited parking available at Metricon Stadium. Please utilize public transport, event shuttles, ride share, taxis and limousines wherever possible. Site maps will be available closer to the festival.

GENERAL FAQs

Yes - free water refill stations will be available on the festival site as well as water to purchase from food stalls.

There are strictly no pass outs during each day at SandTunes. Please plan ahead to ensure you don’t need to leave the site for anything – once you’re in, you’re in!

Smoking is permitted only in designated smoking areas. Please make sure you bin your buts and don’t litter!

Umbrellas are not permitted at the festival. In the case of wet weather, we recommend bringing a rain jacket or poncho.

No, SandTunes is a fully licensed festival and no BYO alcohol is allowed. Any alcohol found will be confiscated and will not be returned.

Yes alcohol is available to purchase for those aged 18+

Playing times and map will be released closer to the festival date.

No animals are permitted apart from service animals.

No illicit substances are welcome at the festival site. The festival has a zero tolerance policy for any illegal activities.

We have a no tolerance approach towards anyone trying to gain entry into the festival site without a valid ticket. Any person who attempts to use a forged ticket or wristband will be handed over to police. Further information on this can be found in our T&C’s.

You will get wet!! The festival will continue rain or shine as long as the event is safe for all patrons. In the event of rain, we recommend you bring a rain jacket or poncho. Please note umbrellas are not permitted into the festival site.

Yes – a full medical team with highly trained Doctors & Paramedics will be on site. Please see the map released closer to the festival for exact location.

All glass items are banned from the event site. This includes glass water bottles and jars.

Signs or flags are allowed without any poles as long as they are not offensive. Any flag poles will need to be removed and left at home.

Small still cameras and smart phones are allowed into the festival site. Any professional camera with a detachable lens, video camera, audio recording device, go pro and drones are not allowed.

Yes – reusable drink bottles are great however these MUST be empty on arrival. There will be facilities to fill it up inside. Please note – glass or metal bottles are not allowed even if empty.

Any persons found to be in possession of a banned item will have this item confiscated and not returned. Any persons found to be in possession of illegal substances will be removed from the festival site and may be referred to police. Further information can be found in our T&C’s

The closest airport is Gold Coast Airport. However, Brisbane and Byron Bay airports are also within driving distance.

SandTunes has 2 x stages.

Bags are limited to A4 paper size (approx. 20cm x 30cm) or smaller. One bag per person is permitted for security reasons. Please leave any larger bags at home or they will need to be cloaked.

We have a great line up of music from the start of the day, so we recommend getting there early to make the most of each day!

Yes a cloak room will be available for any oversized bags. Check the site map closer to the event for the exact location.
